Instructions
Lay out the sour rainbow strips in a shallow glass dish or plastic container. Pour the fruit punch vodka and optional juice over them. Make sure all strips are submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (up to 6 hours for stronger infusion).
Remove the soaked candy strips gently and lay them on a parchment-lined tray or rack. Let them air dry for 10–15 minutes so they’re sticky but not dripping. You want them pliable, not soggy.
Starting at one end, roll each soaked strip into a tight spiral. The vodka will have softened the candy slightly, making it easy to curl. Secure each with a toothpick if needed.
In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar with a pinch of citric acid (or use pre-made sour candy sugar). Roll or dust each candy rollup in the sugar mix until lightly coated. This not only enhances the sour punch but also adds sparkle and grip.
Place the coated rollups on a serving tray and chill in the fridge until ready to serve. Garnish with edible glitter, colored sugar, or mini cocktail picks for extra party flair. Serve cold and watch the fun begin.
