A classic dish featuring juicy meatballs served over al dente spaghetti, drenched in rich marinara sauce, offering a comforting and flavorful experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Spaghetti
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce
  • Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: In a large pot of salted boiling water, add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss gently with olive oil.
  2. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, minced garlic, diced onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Shape the Meatballs: Scoop the mixture and form into uniform meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Simmer in Sauce: Pour marinara sauce over the browned meatballs. Cover and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Serve: Plate the spaghetti and top with meatballs, drizzle with extra sauce, and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use brown rice or chickpea pasta. Add a splash of red wine to the sauce for enhanced flavor.
