Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice berries
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • Optional: 1 cup rum or bourbon

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple cider, orange juice, and brown sugar.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice berries.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling.
  4. Add the sliced orange and apple to the pot.
  5. If desired, stir in rum or bourbon.
  6. Let the punch simmer for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Strain the punch to remove the spices and fruit slices before serving.
  8. Serve warm in mugs and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
