- 4 cups cucumbers, sliced
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons dill seeds
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring until salt and sugar dissolve.
- Remove from heat and let the brine cool.
- In clean jars, layer cucumber slices, garlic, dill seeds, red pepper flakes, mustard seeds, and black peppercorns.
- Pour the cooled brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Seal the jars and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes.
- These pickles can last up to 2 months in the refrigerator.
- Adjust the sugar and salt to taste if desired.
