Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes until fully combined. Set aside.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch in another bowl until they’re evenly coated.
  3. Add vegetable oil to a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken and sauté for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir thoroughly to coat. Simmer for about 1-2 minutes to thicken.
  5. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, toss to combine with chicken and sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu or seasonal vegetables. Customize spice levels to your preference.
