- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes until fully combined. Set aside.
- Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch in another bowl until they’re evenly coated.
- Add vegetable oil to a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken and sauté for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir thoroughly to coat. Simmer for about 1-2 minutes to thicken.
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, toss to combine with chicken and sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu or seasonal vegetables. Customize spice levels to your preference.
