Description
Strawberries & Cream Semifreddo is a delightful frozen dessert that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the creaminess of whipped cream, perfect for hot summer days.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and let them macerate for about 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the remaining sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the egg whites until well combined.
- Fold in the macerated strawberries, including their juices, until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- To serve, slice and enjoy the semifreddo straight from the freezer.
Notes
- For a more intense strawberry flavor, you can blend half of the strawberries into a puree.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries or mint leaves before serving for an elegant touch.
