- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each heart and top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the edges towards the center and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make the cream cheese mixture a day ahead for convenience. Use an air fryer set at 350°F (175°C) for a quicker option.
