Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each heart and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold the edges towards the center and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make the cream cheese mixture a day ahead for convenience. Use an air fryer set at 350°F (175°C) for a quicker option.
