Strawberry Limoncello Prosecco

  • Author: Jessica
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:

  • ???? 3–4 fresh strawberries, sliced – sweet and juicy base

  • ???? 1 oz limoncello – Italian lemon liqueur, bright and sweet

  • ???? 4–5 oz chilled prosecco – light and bubbly Italian sparkling wine

  • ???? Fresh mint or basil (optional) – adds a herbal pop

  • ???? Lemon twist or wheel – for garnish

  • ???? Ice cubes or frozen strawberry slices – keeps it cool without watering it down

  • ???? Optional honey or simple syrup (½ tsp) – to sweeten if desired

Instructions

Step 1:
Wash and slice the strawberries. Place them into the bottom of a wine glass or champagne flute.

Step 2:
Muddle gently with a spoon or muddler to release their juices. If your strawberries are very sweet, no extra sweetener is needed. If they’re more tart, add a small drizzle of honey or simple syrup.

Step 3:
Pour in the limoncello over the strawberries.

Step 4:
Top with chilled prosecco, pouring slowly to preserve bubbles and avoid overflow.

Step 5:
Give it a gentle stir to mix. Garnish with a lemon twist and a sprig of mint or basil for a colorful finish.

Notes

These sparkling cocktails are very forgiving, but a few key tips ensure a perfect pour:

  • Always chill your prosecco and limoncello beforehand to ensure the drink stays cold and bubbly

  • Use ripe, juicy strawberries for best flavor and color

  • Muddle gently—you want juice, not strawberry pulp overload

  • Pour prosecco slowly to preserve carbonation and keep layers separate
