Description

These Thanksgiving Turkey Cranberry Meatballs are a delightful blend of savory turkey and sweet-tart cranberries, creating a juicy and flavorful bite. Each meatball is tender and moist, with a hint of herbs that perfectly complements the festive flavors of the season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Meatballs:
    • 1 pound ground turkey
    • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sauce:
    • 1 cup cranberry sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped cranberries, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce by combining cranberry sauce, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until heated through.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional cranberries or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can prepare the meatballs a day in advance and store them in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Storage: Leftover meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Substitutions: Ground chicken or beef can be used instead of turkey, and you can use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
