Description

A deliciously rich and creamy cake soaked in a blend of three different milks, perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream butter and sugar in another bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time into the butter-sugar mixture, ensuring each is well mixed before adding the next. Add vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour mixture gradually with the creamed mixture using a gentle folding motion until just combined.
  6. Bake the cake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  8. Make the milk mixture by whisking together evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk.
  9. Soak the cooled cake by poking holes all over it with a fork and then pouring the milk mixture evenly over the cake.
  10. Top the cake with whipped cream and garnish with fresh fruits if desired before serving.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Let the cake soak for at least 30 minutes before serving.
