Ingredients
-
๐ 2 oz vodka (use a quality, smooth vodka for best results)
-
๐ซ 1 oz white chocolate liqueur (such as Godiva White Chocolate or similar)
-
๐ 1 oz fresh lemon juice (about 1 medium lemon)
-
๐ฏ ยฝ oz simple syrup (adjust for sweetness preference)
-
๐ฅ ยฝ oz triple sec or Cointreau (for an extra citrus kick)
-
๐ง Ice cubes (for shaking)
-
๐ Lemon zest or sugar (for rimming the glass)
-
๐ซ White chocolate shavings or curls (for garnish)
-
๐ Lemon twist or slice (for garnish)
Instructions
Start by chilling a martini or coupe glass. To rim, rub the edge with a lemon wedge then dip it into sugar or finely grated lemon zest mixed with sugar for a bright, fragrant rim.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, white chocolate liqueur, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and triple sec.
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15โ20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well chilled.
Strain the mixture into your prepared chilled glass, making sure no ice shards make their way into the drink.
Add a delicate lemon twist on the rim or float it in the drink. For extra elegance, top with white chocolate shavings or curls that slowly melt into the cocktail, releasing sweet aromas.
Notes
-
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best, brightest flavor. Bottled lemon juice can taste dull and flat.
-
Adjust the simple syrup based on how sweet or tart you prefer your cocktail.
-
For a thicker, creamier texture, you can add a splash of heavy cream or half-and-half, but this will change the texture slightly.
