- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (tart varieties like Granny Smith)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional; walnuts or pecans)
- 1 cup streusel topping (mix of butter, flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl, then incorporate this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and chopped nuts (if using).
- Layer half of the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the streusel topping over it.
- Pour the remaining batter over the streusel layer and top with the remaining streusel.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream, or coffee. Can be made with alternative fruits like pears or berries.
