Ingredients

- 2 cups of biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 cups of diced apples
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the biscuit mix and milk in a mixing bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut out biscuit rounds using a cutter, about 3 inches in diameter.
- Place diced apples in a saucepan over medium heat and add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook the apple mixture until the apples soften.
- Layer half of the biscuit rounds in a baking dish and spoon the apple mixture on top.
- Top with the remaining biscuit rounds.
- Dot the biscuits with small pieces of butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
Make the apple filling a day in advance for convenience. You can also use an air fryer if preferred.
