- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup salted caramel sauce (or as desired)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare your 9×13-inch pan by lining it with aluminum foil and lightly spraying it with cooking spray.
- Make the cake mix according to the package directions, then pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake as directed.
- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping in a medium bowl. Set it aside.
- Remove the cake from the oven once done and poke holes all over the cake using the blunt end of a wooden spoon.
- Pour the caramel mixture slowly over the cake, ensuring all holes receive a drizzle.
- Refrigerate the cake for about 10 minutes to cool slightly.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly across the top of the cake, then sprinkle chopped pecans and chocolate chips generously.
- Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top just before serving.
