  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

Instructions

  1. Cut and prepare the onion by slicing off the top and peeling the outer skin.
  2. Slice the onion into petal-like cuts, being careful not to cut through the bottom.

  4. Dip the onion into the buttermilk, ensuring each petal gets soaked.

  6. Double dip the onion into the buttermilk again and roll it in breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
