Delicious and easy-to-make cherry pie bars that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking pan.
  5. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the crust.
  6. Mix the remaining crumb mixture with vanilla and almond extract, then sprinkle it over the cherry filling.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
