- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce in a mixing bowl.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot, allowing to cool slightly before serving.
