Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups potatoes (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Mix the cooked beef, sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. It can also be cooked in an air fryer.
