- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups potatoes (peeled and sliced)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
- Mix the cooked beef, sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, prepare the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. It can also be cooked in an air fryer.
