Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and then prepare your 9×13 baking pan by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl and combine it with the brown sugar, stirring until frothy.
  3. Mix in the all-purpose flour until a thick dough forms, resembling soft playdough.
  4. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan, pressing down to create a solid crust.
  5. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded coconut and chocolate chips over the crust.
  7. Drizzle the warm caramel sauce evenly over the toppings.
  8. Pop the pan back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or bars.
