A warm and inviting dessert that combines the flavors of snickerdoodle cookies with a delicious apple cobbler, topped with a golden, crisp crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  2. Combine apples with cinnamon in a mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in another bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Prepare the wet ingredients by blending melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  6. Layer half of the batter in a greased baking dish, top with spiced apples, then dollop remaining batter over the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  8. Cool slightly before serving for best results.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce for added indulgence. Can be made a day ahead and refrigerated before baking.
