Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla, and almond extract (if using) until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting and adding sprinkles if desired.
