- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the pistachio pudding mix with the undrained crushed pineapple in a large mixing bowl.
- Gently fold in the miniature marshmallows.
- Add the whipped topping carefully, folding it in gently.
- Stir in the chopped pecans or walnuts.
- If using, fold in the maraschino cherries, or reserve them for topping.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Serve the chilled Watergate Salad in bowls, topping with any remaining cherries.
